I was initially provided with a quote, but upon following up to confirm its validity, I was informed the price had increased by approximately 65%. When I requested clarification on whether the service remained the same or an explanation for the steep increase, the company’s director (Stephen Blake) dismissed my inquiry, stating they were “far too busy” to respond/negotiate.It is baffling that addressing a straightforward question about a price change would require the director’s direct involvement, and equally concerning that such a basic customer concern was met with outright disregard. This response is neither professional nor reflective of a client-focused business ethos.If the company cannot provide a clear explanation for significant price adjustments, they should at least delegate such communications to someone capable of engaging with clients respectfully. Simply brushing off legitimate questions damages trust and undermines confidence in their service.

There were no missed calls, voicemails, or any genuine attempts to get in touch, aside from one SMS sent after business hours on a Friday. Please don’t suggest otherwise.2. It is unethical and completely inappropriate that you publicly disclosed private client tax information on the internet. That action alone breaches client confidentiality and raises serious questions about your professional standards.3. My feedback is fair and accurate. You made no meaningful attempt to contact me when issues arose. Instead, I had to chase you multiple times to fix repeated errors. I also had to contact the ATO directly on several occasions just to progress matters. It took approximately six months from my initial enquiry in October 2024 until all three of my tax returns were finally lodged by 9 April 2025. That level of delay and lack of due dillegence is simply unacceptable.I quote - “There was a delay in lodging the 2022 and 2023 returns due to a system error on our end.” I.E YOUR RESPONSIBILITY. There was no due dillegence to check on the submissions.4. Your statement—“your contact point has changed only once”—is completely false. I have had six different points of contact during this process:• Danica• Lee• Kamlini (and a partner on a Zoom call)• Farah• BenedictAdditionally, on 23 January 2025, I submitted all required documents to Kamlini. After receiving no reply, I followed up on 3 February, only to be told she was on “emergency medical leave,” yet she was mysteriously back at work the very same day I chased for a response.5. I was also told during a Zoom call that Lee would follow up with me regarding a referral to a business lawyer. That follow-up never happened.Rather than gaslighting clients online and misrepresenting the facts, I strongly recommend you review your internal processes, improve your communication practices, and reflect on the ethical responsibilities you owe to your clients.P.S Farah is amazing. Her customer service skills are exemplary.------------First Review: My experience with Lee and Associates was deeply disappointing.I submitted all required documentation and was assured that my multiple tax returns would be lodged promptly. The apology was extended deeply and was pretty sincere.Moving along with service Farah is such an amazing, easy to talk to woman, we conducted the meeting there and then.Very helpful. Initially the accountants was very helpful, on top of everything, and always on time in helping with tax/business GST.One of the staff member left recently, so I had emailed them multiple times to chase up, making sure the BAS would be done on time. I have received a respond that it would be followed up by someone, but nothing had happened.I then emailed multiple times again and no one responded till it was overdue by few weeks, and I ended up receiving a penalty warning letter from ATO.It was quite disappointing, even now that no one had responded my email regarding tax return (do understand it is busy season). Hopefully we will see some improvement here.

Having worked with Vault Accountants for the last year regarding SMSF, Financial Planning, taxation advice and doing several tax returns, Craig and Brad have given me good constructive advice, and have been supportive throughout the process of moving superannuation from an industry fund to self-managed.I would have rated Vault a 5, however I have had some small difficulties in the tax return process that, while were addressed adequately, in future could be improved with better communication. May be better for business owners etc. I have been to several accountants over the years and this was my worst experience. He just read directly from the ATO website on screen.
