I don’t even know where to start with the numerous stuff ups these people made and don’t want to waste more time on them because it could take a while explaining how terrible the service was. Got the $100 off for their slow communication but we still paid far too much. Good luck if you get Kristine as your paralegal.
Worst experience EVER. Regretting settling with lead conveyancing. Noticed extra cash was debited from my account on settlement date. Called Lead to know why almost A$3000 extra was deducted and was told to wait for the post settlement statement the following day. Next day I received the post settlement statement late and I discovered the money was credited to a named law firm which I've never heard of before. Called lead conveyancing and was told it's the bank's (lender) lawyer. Was baffled how I should be the one to pay the bank such amount for their lawyer. Called the bank the following day and was told its not from them and no extra deduction was made aside the loan given. This was the beginning of a long nightmare that hasn't been solved till date.Obviously from the onset, lead conveyancing was oblivious to the fact such a huge amount was deducted from my account and could not even provide accurate info of the transaction.I called back to give them the outcome from the bank and that was when I was later told the amount deducted was originally meant to be paid by the vendor to the firm it was credited to.My ears tingled when I heard that. The inability of lead conveyancing to fish out that inappropriate allocation from my account before the deduction was made has costed me alot as I now look as a beggar in trying to get my money back.More then a month after settlement and I still don't know when I will have my money back.So so disheartening with much regret for doing business with them (lead conveyancing)
Jessie and the team at Lead conveyancing were professional and extremely helpful throughout the pre settlement/ settlement period. They took care of everything while being transparent and upfront about any issues or concerns we might face through the process. I believe they were thorough in their due diligence and worked with us to ensure our contract was favourable and all conditions were met. Jessie was attentive and took all my calls when I had questions and was always helpful. While they may not be the cheapest option in the conveyancing space they are certainly worth it.
I used Lead for a recent property settlement, and although it went OK, there are two things that was frustrating:1. Our conveyancer was changed 48 hours out from settlement. This was due to our initial conveyancer leaving the organisation, but unless his departure was unexpected and immediate, this is not an excuse. Our settlement day was known 3 months in advance, and LEAD should have assigned us someone who would be there, or made the transition much earlier. 2 days out just added unnecessary stress for us during an already stressful event.2. The internal feedback form just asks if you did not settle or settled successfully. I think this leads to misleading ratings as it doesn't allow you to rate based on the experience of settlements. Designing a feedback system with a bias to skew ratings higher is disappointing.In response to the reply from the business, I did provide this feedback directly already and never got a response.
Failed to follow legal instructions and register a mortgage as part of a property transfer. Anything slightly unusual they have absolutely no idea what they are doing! Hopeless!I have just seen your reply to my google review and just shows your stupidity and lack of understanding about your original instructions to register a mortgage on title during transfer. It is not a conflict of interest or against any legal restrictions to register a mortgage for a mortgagee when the mortgagor is a party controlled by the same natural person as the mortgagee.Not only did you fail to register the mortgage as specifically instructed upon engagement, you just ignored the instruction, failed to notify the client, as you had absolutely no understanding of what was required.Incompetent in all aspects of this transaction. Do not use this company! The other review you refer to will not be removed as you allege I have 2 legal identities as the same person to justify your incompetence!
We used LEAD conveyancing to buy a new apartment and sell our existing property. They were a pleasure to work with. They communicated with us in a clear and timely manner via email. Obstacles were removed with alacrity. And all of our communications with staff were pleasant and efficient. I highly recommend their services.
I selected Lead due to the high ratings on google but unfortunately, I did not experience the same positive experience. There were two parts to my dealings with them:1) The first part was getting the contract of sale drawn up and that part was prompt and efficient but once the contract was done, further queries went unanswered.2) The second part was the conveyancing part - what a nightmare. Two weeks before settlement, nothing was done, paperwork still not checked and emails went unanswered for days.When I rang to follow up, the team leader, Red, yelled at me on the phone. He sounded like he was not even awake and computer not turned on (9.30am Melbourne time on a work day). Extremely unprofessional behaviour for a team leader.One week before settlement, I was running around during work hours trying to go to the Post Office to get ID and getting stat decs signed.On morning of settlement, I was still electronically signing paperwork and emails were flying around. One party was omitted from settlement figure and I copped abuse because of that.Both the conveyancing team members were heavily accented which makes me suspect that the conveyancing part has been outsourced overseas. Maybe that's why the team leader sounded asleep when I rang (due to time difference overseas).Price is mid range, not expensive but not cheap either. Due to my experience, I would not recommend.

I have used this firm twice and unfortunately cannot recommend them.They issued an incorrect settlement statement which I had to identify and correct myself. They also failed to provide a tax invoice for contract review unless specifically requested. Repeated requests for PEXA settlement reports were ignored, and I was eventually told the responsible person was on leave with no backup available.The lack of accuracy, communication, and proper internal processes was very disappointing. We have since changed solicitors.

My experience using Entry Conveyancing was an absolute nightmare, and I would not recommend them for any conveyancing matters.From the beginning, there were multiple issues. My first solicitor repeatedly referred to contacting the real estate agent—even though there wasn’t one involved, which was clearly stated in the contract. I had to correct this several times. They also incorrectly advised that my cooling-off period was about to end and that I needed to pay the deposit urgently, when in fact I still had over a week remaining.I was then passed on to a second solicitor within the same firm, but unfortunately, the experience did not improve. Communication was poor, and I found myself constantly chasing up documents required for the bank and settlement. I even had to confirm with LegalStream myself whether settlement had been booked.There were also delays with the surveyor’s certificate, which I had to follow up directly with the vendor to get a copy of. Despite this being something my solicitor could have handled by liaising with the other party’s solicitor, they failed to take initiative.On top of this, they attempted to charge me their fees upfront despite having signed an authority for the bank to pay these at settlement, I had explained to them about this but they kept insisting I pay. They also failed to request the ATO clearance certificate, which caused further unnecessary delays.Overall, I felt like I had to manage the entire process myself, constantly following up and ensuring things were progressing. It was an incredibly stressful and frustrating experience, and I would strongly advise others to look elsewhere.

Website says they support transfer of property for separations. My partner and I are cooperating to execute on our court separation orders which requires a simple transfer of property from 50/50 to 100% my name.This is a very simple conveyancing matter - same property, same bank, no stamp duty, just a change of ownership. It's a few clicks in Pexa. Unfortunately their company policy is to only act independently for the parties in a separation (ie double the cost) which is ridiculous as we are cooperative trying to do a simply transfer.

Cheap for a reason. They will try to charge you for anything they can. I’m currently their customer, several times tried to charge for random stuff. Look at the contract, you have to pay extra. Bring settlement date forward which is just a few emails, pay extra. I don’t know what was the fee I paid for was for. Very disappointed. There are better options out there.
