I recently contracted GM Lawyers to undertake the conveyancing on a house I was selling in Brisbane. I chose them out of three law firms suggested by my sales agent because they were the cheapest. Jodie from GM Lawyers was assigned to my sale. Jodie stayed in touch with me constantly and gave me excellent advice about what I needed to do (e.g. procedure to discharge the mortgage on the property, notification to the ATO etc). The time between contract signing and settlement was only 3 weeks so there was no room for error. I needn't have worried. Everything went like clockwork and the settlement went through with no issues. The money from the sale was in my account within 90 minutes. All my communication with GM Lawyers was through phone calls and emails. I never had a face to face meeting with them because I live in Canberra. Jodie was proactive at all times. I never had to follow anything up. The conveyancing cost was considerably less than I had paid for the conveyancing on some properties I sold more than 10 years ago. I can't fault GM Lawyers and would have no hesitation in using them again.

Great service. We originally had Lockett McCullough Lawyers as our solicitor for our business dealings in Noosa. Then when we bought our first home, we also had them as our conveyancer. As you can imagine, it was a lot for a first home buyer, we had no prior experience and everything is new. Thankfully, our conveyancer, Sophie, helped us through the process and sorted everything out. We also received a rate supplement notice from local council 4 months after settlement with payable rate backdated to before we own the property and Sophie helped us contacted the seller and had them pay their share of the rate supplement.Highly recommend.
